Film Review

Meet the house guest from hell Randy Dupree (Owen Wilson), a perpetual bachelor and slacker who out-stays his welcome with newlywed friends Carl and Molly (Matt Dillon and Kate Hudson). As Dupree becomes a fixture in the Peterson's home, his outrageous antics in the bathroom and bedroom ensure that three becomes not just a crowd but a full-blown, hilarious catastrophe!I really thought this movie would be as crap as what the critics said it was but surprisingly it wasn't! Owen Wilson was great as the lovable Dupree and Matt and Kate were great in their roles too.The plot was predictable but it doesn't matter as it's very well written and manages to suck you in for the whole two hours. I loved the ending and I would definitely watch it again.Best quote of the movie: "You leave Lance out of this! He's doing more with one testicle than you and I could do with three!"Best scene of the movie: Definitely the "Seven Different Kinds Of Smoke" scene in the…

Upwardly mobile couple, just married and back from their honeymoon, play hosts to the groom's semi-Neanderthal best pal from boyhood. With no job, no car, and no other couch to sleep on, the friend moves in and takes over the house; soon, the wife begins to appreciate the scruffy guy and the way he helps out, but the husband begins to think his buddy is trying to steal his girl. Familiar theme barely updated. Owen Wilson, who also served as one of the producers, is a really odd presence here as Dupree–he's both overeager and annoying (and a little creepy). As the married couple, Kate Hudson has several good scenes, and she's put some thought into her characterization, but I'm not sure how well-cast Matt Dillon is (he doesn't look comfortable playing the patsy, he doesn't match up quite right with Hudson and, although he makes an attempt to be loose, he can't bring laughs to his role). A sub-plot involving Dillon working for his property developing f…

I personally thought that this movie was phenomenal, and anyone can come on here and say that the movie sucked, it's their free will but they obviously have no sense of humor.People say no one laughed at the theaters, but when I went we saw plenty of laughs throughout the whole movie, and I myself laughed more than "3 or 4" times. Let's start off with the following scenes that i thought were very comical: Carl's Friend (Seth Rogen) tries to do the "fire tornado" and ends up betting really smashed at the party the night before the wedding. He even ends up on the shore passed out. He also has to suffer through the wife problems, which many adults can relate to. He also learns about Carl's "camping equipment" box, aka porn collection and goes to incredible lengths to steal it when Carl decides he wants to throw out. Dupree, what's not to love about him. Lights some 60 candles in the living room and ends up burning the living room, he has …
